A Haunting Theme Park Experience, a ds106 Radio show bring you into the horrors and terrors of the spooky halloween themes these amusement parks take on in October. This was my version of the ds106 radio Poster for the group radio show project we are working on. Our group has come to the agreement that an amusement park would be a great theme especially now in the fall where they often change there appearance drastically in celebration of Halloween. When making this photo I used a picture of Kings Dominions replica Eiffel Tower, with red Halloween Haunt lights on, added some parentheses to the top beacon to transform it into a radio tower (which I had to expand the canvas and re draw the sky using a splotchy type paint brush in the portion which turned out nicely). I added the Type and played around with making it twist and morph which adds to its creepy almost horror film looking type. Then I played with the coloring and was able to make it darker but at the same time make the red light glow a little brighter. To top it off I add a small ds106 radio stamp in the bottom corner just to connect it with the radio.
Now for this project, as I work at the Halloween Haunt I will be trying to get some interview tapes and probably some sound clips from the park. Guests screaming monsters growling and threatening, and general creepy sounding music and probably some pictures to use on finalized radio show posters/stickers/ whatever else we may need.
